As a partner, when your best stories are read by Medium members, a portion of their membership dues will be shared with you. Here are a few factors we consider in order to determine quality.

Yes, Medium writers can get paid through the Medium Partner Program. Writers earn money when paying Medium members read their stories, with earnings based on read time and engagement like claps, highlights, and replies. To earn, writers need to be Medium members and have published stories within the last 6 months.

  Writers can join the Partner Program to earn money from their writing. This program relies on the subscription fees of paying Medium members, which are then distributed to writers based on their content's engagement and reading time. 
• Earnings based on member engagement:

  Writers earn more when members read their stories for longer periods, clap, highlight, or comment on them. 
• Eligibility Requirements:

  To participate in the Partner Program, writers need to be Medium members, have published stories within the last six months, have a bank account in an eligible country, and be at least 18 years old. 
• Monetization system:

  Medium's Partner Program is an internal system where money from paying members is distributed among writers. It's not ad-based, like YouTube, but rather relies on the platform's own members.
